Tak's fannish and filkish background comes from old-school fandom, back when in order to enjoy REAL science fiction, you had to crack open a book! Though she also enjoys many media-fannish pursuits, she often still enjoys written science fiction new and old, and she has been going to local Minneapolis-area conventions for over 20 years. She also tells it like it is, unafraid to speak her mind for better or for worse, and as such often becomes a rather effective foil not only for DJ Particle, but also for anyone else who may be within earshot, and for an Internet radio show, that's a LOT of earshot!
